MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED with two (2) yrs of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 (Hourly).

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position of Department Coordinator II oversees the management and coordination of revenue collection, security and transmittal of revenue, and coordination of records and information. This includes processing financial transactions, reviewing financial data and account balances and reporting information to the Assistant Director for Parking and Transportation Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the clerical support functions of the department. Coordinate the day to day operations of revenue producing pay operations to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and established University business procedures.
  • Train and coach student and supporting clerical staff on parking software and financial procedures; as team leader responsible for supervising, overseeing and leading office staff.
  • Assists Assistant Director with assessing the unit’s organizational compliance with the PCI date security standard by completing self-assessment questionnaires and participating in other PCI compliance initiatives. Approve payments and ensures department is conducting business functions within the PCI DSS standards to maintain federal compliance regulations.
  • Oversee application of employee parking payroll deductions through University payroll software PeopleSoft.
  • Implement departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
  • Delegate tasks and set project deadlines.
  • Consult with customers to resolve problems, address complaints, answer questions and maintain high standards of customer services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of parking and transportation industry, public service and customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Very good verbal and writing skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks until completion.
