Description:
TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
The Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton (UNB) invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Psychology. We are open to area of specialty but
are particularly seeking those with expertise in Human Neuroscience or Quantitative Methods.
The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor. The anticipated date of commencement is
July 1, 2025, or January 1, 2026. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of University
of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022 - 2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Ph.D. in Psychology (must be completed at time of appointment) with training and
experience in any area of psychology, including human neuroscience (e.g.,
behavioural neuroscience or neuropsychology), quantitative methods, cognition and
perception.
- Demonstrated promise of excellence in research, teaching, and supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including courses in Statistics,
Biological Psychology, Human Neuropsychology, Physiological Psychology, Drugs and
Behaviour, Survey of the Senses, and in their area of specialization.
- Establishing of a program of research, including supervision of undergraduate and
graduate student research.
- Contributing to the collegial atmosphere and operation of the department through
active participation in administrative service.
