Description:

The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint Departmental Lecturer to provide replacement teaching for the Faculty of Law to lecture and teach undergraduate and students, conduct independent research and have tutorial responsibilities.
The postholder will deliver seminars and tutorials on BCL/MJur Principles of Civil Procedure Option and the FHS Civil Dispute Resolution Option for the Faculty of Law. For the college they will teach one undergraduate subject and deliver tutorials. With research the successful candidate will undertake advanced academic study and/or research to underpin seminars and class teaching and conduct high level research in the field of Civil Procedure, including writing articles for peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and reviews.
The successful candidate will have a relevant postgraduate qualification (preferably a doctorate); an aptitude for teaching and some experience of teaching and research in the relevant fields; sufficient depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject to develop course materials and research proposals and publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field.
This post is fixed term from 1 January 2025 to 31 October 2025 and full time, based at Mansfield College, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TF.
