Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Departmental Specialist to join our Corporate Services and Communications team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Departmental Specialist do for us?
Under minimum direction and acting on own their initiative and direction, a Departmental Specialist in Inventory Management acts as liaison to provide support between Inventory Analysts, Material Services, Procurement, internal business partners, and outside vendors. They typically support multiple senior or business unit managers and provide coverage for Inventory Specialists and other business units as needed. Some of the duties include maintenance of complicated data systems, research, and compilation and analysis of data for reports/studies. Assignments involve work of a confidential nature and require knowledge of the practices and procedures of the function, company policies and programs. They also act as coordinator of departmental projects. They may provide guidance or work leadership to lower-level staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High school Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 3 or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
Preferred:
- 2 years of company experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
