THE OPPORTUNITY

At Boeing our customers face an increasingly dynamic battlespace, with adversaries able to find and target forces and disrupt communications faster than before. At the same time, the amount of data being collected and processed is growing exponentially.
We are seeking talented engineers to take these problems head on and drive the development of the next generation of Command, Control, Communications & Computers (C4) systems for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
In this role you’ll apply a systems thinking approach to lead the development of innovative solutions at the nexus of cloud computing, deployed service hosting, rugged equipment design & integration and security. Your solutions will consider and address the different needs of users operating dismounted, from military vehicles or in deployed headquarters, ensuring they have access to the services and information they need for situational awareness and decision superiority.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in the role you should:

  • Have a track record of delivering complex systems across multiple phases of the system lifecycle, preferably for defence customers
  • Possess a strong technical background in systems engineering and/or product engineering
  • Excel in written and verbal communications with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our Battlespace Communications System (BCS) team and take responsibility for:

  • Analyzing user needs and requirements
  • Developing solution architectures that take ICT workloads and tactical operational needs into account
  • Coordinating design, prototype development, integration and verification activities for future C4 systems
  • Supporting the selection and management of suppliers and partners to compliment internal expertise
  • Contributing to program strategies, plans and estimates in proposals
