Description:
Are you a service-minded problem solver? Do you want to put your leadership and communication skills to use to ensure our IT projects deliver the utmost value for our customers and their patients? We are currently looking for a deployment project manager serving customers in the UK & Ireland.
Sectra is one of the world’s leading providers of IT systems for managing medical images. Our long-term ambition is to be the leader in making customers’ diagnostics more efficient and contribute to proven improved care outcomes for patients. Implementing our solutions, delivering upgrades to our customers and meeting their requests of for example integrations and migrations is key for our customers success and satisfaction. That’s why project management within deployment is so important - and exciting.
Working as a project manager
As a project manager, you are responsible for delivering on predefined goals. Your job is to ensure that we as a deployment team and an organization live up to our customers’ expectations—that we truly deliver value to our customers. Your main responsibilities include:
Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Running the project and ensuring that we are able to meet deadlines, budgets, resource needs and deliver on our promises
Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
Coordinating internal resources and sometimes third parties/vendors for the seamless execution of projects
Communicating with customers in different roles and handle their different expectations
Assess risks to project time, quality and scope, and develop contingencies/mitigation strategies with project stakeholders
Manage project budget, including revenue recognition and invoicing tasks in coordination with the Finance Department
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
At the end of they day, each project impacts health care professionals and their ability to effectively deliver patient care.
To thrive in this role, you need to have an understanding of IT environments so that you can communicate efficiently and understand customer requests. You must be service-minded, enjoy adapting to changing circumstances, be able to handle strict deadlines and be looking for an opportunity to take initiative. We think you have strong leadership and communication skills and are able to collaborate with different people. You must be extremely structured and enjoy planning. You also need to be an effective problem-solver. To build trust among our customers, you need to have an understanding and/or experience of IT environments. You will always have deployment engineers as a resource in your projects, but need to handle customer communication independently and efficiently, including communication with IT departments, security experts and other stakeholders.
