The Role

As a Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for efficiently managing depot resources, ensuring profitability, maintaining high levels of customer service, and upholding our stringent health and safety standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the business to meet sales and profit targets.
  • Managing customer relationships to provide quality service.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and safety procedures.
  • Overseeing vehicle maintenance and certification.
  • Implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively managing depot staff, including recruitment, training, and appraisals.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and resolving HR issues.
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve operations and achieve objectives.

Requirements
Education & Experience: While a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English is desirable, we value practical experience and a proven track record in management within a commercial business.
Skills & Abilities: You should be IT literate, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to influence, negotiate, and manage conflicts effectively. Good time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
