POSITION: DEPUTY DOMICILIARY CARE MANAGER
Location: Guardian Angel Carers Mid Sussex Burgess Hill Office
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and experienced homecare clinician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist the Registered Manager and Business Owners in the day-to-day running of our services, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional care and support. This role requires a proactive & organized individual with a strong background in person centred care & people management.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualifications: A management qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 5) is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory home care role, with at least 1 year in a senior supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and person-centred care practices.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, reliable, & committed to delivering high standards of care.
Responsibilities:
- Deputy management: Assist the Manager in the overall management of the service, including staff management, client assessments, & care planning. Support business planning, growth & support community engagements. The deputy manager must ensure the service provided continues to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, whilst supporting & inspiring the care delivery team to deliver the same.
- Management of Staff Supervision: Supervise & support care & office staff, ensuring they are well-trained & motivated & have the right skills & tools to deliver high-quality care & their accountabilities. Closely monitoring performance.
- Client Care: Ensure that all clients receive personalised care in line with their care plans, & conduct regular reviews to maintain the highest standards. Improve care where required.
- Compliance: Ensure the service operates in compliance with regulatory requirements & company policies, including safeguarding & health & safety protocols, for example managing accidents and incidents effectively & appropriately.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in conducting audits & monitoring the quality of care provided, allocating resources effectively, implementing improvements where necessary.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota to provide support during out-of-hours emergencies.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients, families, & external agencies, ensuring clear & effective communication.
- Host regular team meetings as well as attend and contribute to weekly managers meetings to maintain effective communication amongst the team.
- Ensure communication is proactive, professional, & pertinent for all clients & colleagues utilising a variety of tools & skills to optimise the service & the team.
- Administrative Tasks: Support with scheduling, rota management, & other administrative duties as required.
