EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or health related field, required. Masters degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • 10 or more years of healthcare operations experience across various industries including but not limited to multi-specialty medical groups, community health center, healthcare consulting, healthcare technology
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a Director or higher level exhibiting successful team leadership and management skills
  • Prior experience with community health centers and medically underserved populations
  • Prior experience leading performance excellence and process improvement initiatives desired
  • Previous background working with clinical providers and care teams
  • Epic ambulatory EHR experience

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE:

In partnership with STRIDE’s Chief Operating Officer, the Deputy Chief Operations Officer will enable the implementation of a systems-thinking approach to enhance and transform STRIDE’s operational practices. This new and exciting role will partner with STRIDE’s clinical and operational leaders to support STRIDE’s clinic-based, telehealth, and community-based environments of care. The Deputy Chief Operations Officer will also help develop and implement STRIDE Standards, a methodology for driving consistency in patient care, staff engagement, and organizational practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides thought partnership and strategic implementation support to COO, and Operational Directors, and Clinical Leadership
  • Manages select staff and/or sub-departments to support key areas including, but not limited to clinic operations, patient access, and continuity of care
  • Creates and leverages project plans , operational scorecards, and other data analytics tools to assess the performance of the Operations Department in support of STRIDE’s care environment
  • Executes the coordination and prioritization of organizational goals while independently leading departmental initiatives
  • Works with the COO daily to ensure that priorities are set and that various projects are moving forward
  • Coordinates the kickoff of key projects with process improvement staff, managers, and SMEs
  • Partners with Operations’ and Clinical leadership to develop efficient and scalable clinical care strategies, protocols, and standardized workflows
  • Establishes, monitors, and reports on operational KPIs such as utilization, capacity, quality, and satisfaction. Responsible for workflows enabling provider productivity and efficiency
  • Provides operational representation in the design and implementation of new initiatives and programs such as population health, coordinated care, telehealth, patient centered access solutions (online scheduling), clinical integration including medical, dental, and behavioral health services and team-based care
  • Keeps the patient at the center of our work and ensures processes and systems all lead to equitable outcomes and an exceptional patient experience
  • Helps develop STRIDE’s culture and the daily operations of STRIDE’s clinics, provides leadership and direction for the business transition from traditional fee-for-service to value-based care and attains other organizational objectives
  • Develops and implements short- and long-range plans, in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan and changing healthcare environment
  • Serves as a strategic member of STRIDE Operations’ leadership by providing guidance and mentorship to directors, managers, and staff
  • Works with the leadership team to create an environment that will encourage the recruiting and retention of operational staff (e.g.Customer Care Center Reps, Front Desk, Directors of Business Operations) and employees in all areas of responsibility
  • Align with overall organizational learning and development strategies to promote personal growth and career advancement of employees

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned.
  • As required, collaborates with other directors and community partners as related to all aspects of clinical leadership, advocacy, and relationships.
