Supervisor Title: City Clerk
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED, and two (2) years of experience involving high level administrative clerical experience.
- Must possess a Certified Municipal Clerk certification or obtain certification within four (4) years of employment.
OR
- Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job proficiently may be substituted for the above requirements.
NATURE OF WORK:
Under direct supervision of the City Clerk, the Deputy City Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support services to the City Clerk and City Manager’s Office, including but not limited to, typing correspondence and forms, filing, data entry, responding to inquiries, maintaining records, and assisting other departments as directed. Performs a variety of complex, responsible, sensitive, and confidential clerical and administrative duties to assist the City Clerk in carrying out the statutory functions of the office.
