WARWICKSHIRE SALARY: £34,314 - £37,938 PRO RATA HOURS: 25 HOURS PER WEEK (MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9 AM - 1 PM + 5 FLEXIBLE HOURS)

Responsibilities:

WHAT IS ON OFFER FOR THIS DEPUTY CLERK ROLE?

  • Salary of £34,314 - £37,938 pro rata
  • 25 hours per week, 9am-1pm
  • Local Government Pension Scheme

WHAT WILL MY DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES BE FOR THIS DEPUTY CLERK ROLE?

  • Attend and minute meetings, recording decisions and actions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legal frameworks.
  • Support policy implementation and suggest improvements where needed.
  • Manage and oversee public spaces, including play areas and community facilities.
  • Liaise with external organisations, authorities, and local businesses.
  • Assist in planning applications and maintain community engagement via social media.
  • Coordinate council newsletters and provide administrative support to the Town Mayor.
  • Organise road closures for town events and ensure safety measures are in place.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO I NEED FOR THIS DEPUTY CLERK ROLE?

  • Previous experience in local government, administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Knowledge of governance, policy implementation, and legal frameworks (desirable).
  • Flexibility to attend evening meetings and town events when required.
