DESIGNATION : Deputy Director / Director (Children & Youth Services)

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Director (Children and Youth Services), you will be responsible for the development and implementation of operational strategies to ensure efficient and effective delivery of programmes and services by the Service Group providing Children and Youth Services’ (CYS).
You will work closely with the CEO as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to translate Care Corner’s aspirations and goals into a set of strategic initiatives, and support the implementation of these initiatives within the Service Group.
You will manage the financial and manpower resources to ensure optimal usage, and help build the talent pipeline for the organization as a whole. You will work with your Service Group leaders to identify capability gaps and support professional development of staff. You will help build and leverage on community networks to encourage social service integration.
This is a senior-level position that reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and you will be overall responsible for the teams in our children and youth work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Should have about 8-10 years of experience in a Managerial capacity and preferably 3-5 years in social service sector, managing and leading large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in service leadership and effective strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in current or previous roles.
  • Able to influence and develop rapport with ease across a broad range of stakeholders (public, private and third sector) and communicate with clarity, conviction and confidence.
  • Able to engage stakeholders with corporate and community partners, fostering trust and alignment.
  • Create a learning environment that ensures people development and career growth
