This significant role will see you providing strong professional leadership and co-ordination across all aspects of regulatory, digital, and organisational change.
As a Deputy Director, Litigation, Prosecutions and Inquests (LPI) within the wider Legal Services Directorate you will join a busy and friendly team that is committed to making a difference to people’s experience of health and social care. We are looking for someone who will role model CQC’s values and enjoy working as part of a team. As well as providing clear and visible values-based leadership to the directorate working with the Director and two other Deputy Directors, the Deputy Director LPI will oversee these three distinct areas of criminal and civil litigation. The work includes, advice on criminal investigations and conduct of serious and complex criminal prosecutions, inquest work, first tier tribunal appeals, employment and public law challenges. You will be expected to have strong expertise in either criminal or civil litigation or both and the ability to advise and lead the LPI team across the whole spectrum of LPI work. You will also have strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole of CQC.
