JOB SUMMARY
Are you ready to help lead the UK’s transition to clean energy? Do you want to be part of ground-breaking programmes of work focused around energy data and market analysis? At Ofgem, we are dedicated to an evidence-based approach in the fight against climate change and the drive towards sustainable energy solutions. We’re looking for a Deputy Director, Markets Data Improvement Programme to lead our multi-disciplinary group, overseeing the effective delivery of a significant programme of analysis and delivery.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers - especially vulnerable people.
We’re offering a permanent, full-time role with the opportunity to undertake a transformative leadership opportunity and shape the future of data analysis in the Markets area of Ofgem.
This crucial role will see you working closely with our own Senior Leadership team, industry experts, and energy suppliers to help ensure that our future policy and analysis can meet the needs of GB energy consumers and support our position as an evidence-based regulator. You’ll oversee the programme team in designing and co-ordinating delivery of a strategic set of projects to improve how and what energy data is collected, stored, used and disseminated in the Markets area of Ofgem.
We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative leader with proven experience in data governance and programme delivery, who understands the policy and analytical context across diverse teams and diverse senior stakeholders in the energy sector. You will be adept at building high-performing teams and possess a good understanding of current energy market data and usage.
We have a critical purpose to develop future-focused solutions within the energy sector, and this is your chance to join us, enrich your expertise and develop your portfolio of experience.
