Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Global Director of Human Resources this key appointment will support the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) to drive the delivery of the People Enabler Strategy and HR Plan for the University.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Global HR Director and HRLT to drive forward the development and delivery of the People Enabling Strategy and HR Plan on behalf of the function and University.
  • As a key part of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) identify opportunities and understand functional strategies that support the People Enabling Strategy and as a result the University Strategy 2025.
  • Support the Global Director of HR with the organisational design and day to day operation of the HR function as the HR Lead for Human Resources.Support the development and delivery of the HR Transformation agenda against the University
  • ‘s immediate business plan and Strategy 2035.
  • Lead on the continual review and development of existing and new HR Policies and Procedures to ensure we are compliant with statutory obligations and support our aspirations of being an employer of choice.
  • Identify, interpret and translate University Strategies into operational planning and outcomes, keeping in mind the broader organisational system and the external environment.
  • Deputise for Global Director of HR where required.
  • Build productive, visible and effective professional relationships across the University and with external stakeholders.
  • Lead on change with the HR function, developing the capability and capacity within the team to support effectively on change management, influencing and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Represent the Directorate and University on internal and external committees as appropriate.
  • Contribute actively to governance and risk management within the Directorate.
  • Provide clear leadership and management of the HR annual plan to drive a coherent operating structure, collaboration and capacity management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high-quality service, developing high professional standards and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of all HR services within agreed service levels, providing regular opportunities to review service levels, metrics and feedback, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement of service.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and informative provision of statutory and other reports and metrics and contribute through insight to the agenda setting and production of committee meetings i.e. Staff Committee.
