We have a fantastic opportunity to join our nursing and midwifery leadership team as the Deputy Director of Midwifery and Nursing.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team, working closely with the Director of Midwifery and Nursing, Clinical Director, Divisional Operations Director. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence in workforce management, service delivery, clinical quality, safety, and financial control within our division.

The Deputy Director of Midwifery and Nursing is a crucial role within the Divisional Management Team, reporting to the Divisional Director of Midwifery and Nursing Services (DoMN). This position focuses on ensuring high standards of patient care across gynecology, maternity, and neonatal services. Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership and management for midwifery and nursing services, ensuring high-quality, efficient care.
Overseeing operational direction, governance, patient experience, and service sustainability.
Acting as the DoMN in daily clinical operations, handling recruitment, care standards, service transformation, and patient experience improvements.
Developing and maintaining clinical safety and quality systems, compliance with CQC standards, health and safety, patient complaints, incident reporting, and safeguarding.
Assisting senior management to meet workforce, service delivery, quality improvement, and safety objectives.
Working with the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and associated agencies to lead maternity service transformation according to national and local priorities.
Creating a supportive environment for midwifery and nursing staff across Gynaecology, Maternity and Neonatal Services
