Description:
Deputy Divisional Director for Quality and Nursing (Planned Care), Band 8b
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with and lead a dynamic and high-profile team within the Medicine Division as the Deputy Director of Quality & Nursing for NHS Gloucestershire Hospitals.
The post requires someone with the ability to think and act strategically, set direction in a complex environment and manage relationships with a wide range of senior colleagues. You will have high level analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and a strong understanding of clinical specialty management across several specialties at once. You will have experience of delivering programmes of work and leading teams.
Expected Interview Date: 18/12/2024
You will need to be enthusiastic and driven, with the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve what is required for our patients and your services. You will have demonstrable and credible experience of senior management roles in the health sector.
With excellent communication skills you will need to be able to establish your credibility at all levels internally and externally, and be able to quickly build relationships within your own team and the wider organization. Both a flexible ‘can do’ attitude and a strong focus on delivery are essential. This role involves cross site working and is one of the two Deputies to the Divisional Director of Quality & Nursing.
The existing Divisional Nurse Director is looking for a strong compassionate leader who has traditional nursing values at the heart of how they practice, in order to provide outstanding quality of care. Although traditional with their expectations they should bring a modern day professional feel to being supportive, dynamic and engaging.
