QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Resource Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in utility resource planning and analysis, preferably in a special district or public utility agency.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Deputy General Manager of energy & Power, you will work under the direction of the General Manager to plan, organize, and direct the District’s energy and power program. You will collaborate with the management team to support the Board of Directors’ policies, develop and implement the District’s strategic plan, and manage energy and power operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership: Formulate, direct, and review the implementation of goals, objectives, and policies for energy and power efficiency.
  • Policy Development: Recommend and participate in the development of District goals, objectives, priorities, and policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with other agencies, governmental representatives, and the public to represent District activities.
  • Innovation: Lead and develop innovative energy programs utilizing new or emerging technologies.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to CEQA, NEPA, and CEC compliance issues.
