DEPUTY MANAGER – INSURANCE OPERATIONS

Wroclaw, Poland
As a Deputy Manager you will be expected to balance supporting Stakeholders, Customers, and your team members. You will be responsible for leading Shared Service initiatives and developing wider business aims within the teams. A core aspect of this is communication - having the ability to have robust, fair, and open conversations with Stakeholders at all levels of seniority is one of most important skills.
You will be responsible for the European teams whose focus is to directly support the Underwriters. The teams will perform front-to-end activities throughout the post-bind life-cycle policies processes and will be engaged in ongoing development of insurance knowledge related to their specialized line of business.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Leading a team as a second line manager
  • Managing, mentoring and developing a team
  • Ensuring desired SLA’s are achieved
  • Managing business relations with stakeholders
  • Driving stakeholder meetings to discuss performance
  • Controlling of monitoring reports and prompt handling of exception items
  • Prompt and accurate resolution of data quality issues
  • Ensuring processes, procedures are met and adhered to
  • Look for ways to continuously improve processes and propose ideas to the relevant contacts
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with AXA XL teams both within the immediate office and across AXA XL’s branches.
  • Effectively supporting and enabling the successful transition of new and existing work into the teams from across AXA XL, in line with Global Operations strategies
  • Driving a culture of Continuous Improvement and learning. Ensuring initiatives are tracked and supported where necessary
  • Undertaking any other duties that the company may reasonably request to be performed

You will report to local Manager.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • University degree
  • Fluency in Business English and French (both spoken and written) is a must (at least C1 level)
  • Proven experience on team leader position
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and transition processes is a must.
  • Proven experience in insurance business would be advantageous.
  • Excellent data processing skills
  • Compelling problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other commonly used software
  • Inquisitive mind with compelling analytical thinking skills
  • Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent people skills; communicative and open to new challenges
