Description:

The Humber and North Yorkshire Collaboration of Acute Providers (CAP) delivers programmes of work at scale to support improved patient care. Working across the acute trusts within the provider collaborative, the Deputy Programme Manager will play a key role in the efficient and effective organisation of the Collaboration of Acute Providers work programme; supporting the programme office to ensure all projects and assignments are planned and managed within the defined project framework and governance structure to achieve desired outcomes.
The Deputy Programme Manager will work alongside the Programme Manager to plan, co-ordinate and monitor the progress of individual projects in line with the agreed work plan, identifying and supporting interdependencies and coordination of the risks reporting across the work programmes areas.
The Deputy Programme Manager will be responsible for providing advice and support to the Programme teams and act as a key point of contact for internal and external contacts. The post holder will coordinate on CAP communications and engagement, working closely with project teams and trust and ICB communication teams. They will also assist the Deputy Managing Director and Programme Directors to deliver their work programmes, taking the lead on projects where appropriate, and deputise for some of the CAP duties of the Programme Manager in their absence.
Plan, manage and review the CAP Programme milestones, inter-dependencies, risks and outcomes across the CAP work programme using programme management methodology, and ensure the required reports, in the defined format, are submitted within the given timescale.
Work with the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Trust Executives and Programme teams to scope pan-Trust, high impact projects, identifying aims and benefits that are both financial and quality focused.
Support delivery of project outcomes on time and within budget constraints, monitoring and managing project risks that threaten the outcome of projects
Manage and report status of projects and risks or failures to the CAP Deputy Managing Director, Programme Board or other relevant governance structure
Work closely with the CAP Deputy Managing Director to determine the priority/relevance of project aspects and take forward tasks.
The post holder will work collaboratively and co-operatively with the Senior Responsible Officer for the High Impact projects, clinicians and colleagues to develop effective high-quality services for patients.
The post holder will be support the corporate programmes, including the Executive Advisory Groups, and may allocated to a project or programme where the need is greatest and so should be prepared to work across a variety of different projects and programmes across the CAP work programme.
