Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Radiopharmacy team manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals for Nuclear Medicine services at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) and the wider region. The MHRA-licensed Radiopharmacy is part of the Nuclear Medicine department and, as such, you will also be working within a wider multi-disciplinary team providing specialised Nuclear Medicine Imaging/MRT services.
The successful candidate will have joint Deputy Production Manager responsibilities within Radiopharmacy, performing Production/GMP duties associated with manufacturing safe, effective and high quality radiopharmaceuticals (est 0.5wte). The remaining time will be working with the established Nuclear Medicine team providing Imaging/MRT services.
To act as deputy Radiopharmacy production manager (DRPM).
To manage the day to day provision of the Radiopharmacy and nuclear medicine (NM) non-imaging service at the Northern General (NGH) site.
Line management of the Nuclear medicine staff working in the Radiopharmacy and nuclear medicine non-imaging service at the NGH site.
To be formally appointed as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) under the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 for the NGH Radiopharmacy, non-imaging and imaging areas.
To provide a high quality, responsive Nuclear Medicine service throughout the city whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care, working as a member of a team of nuclear medicine technologists
To maintain a high level of skill knowledge in Nuclear Medicine and apply this to maintain high quality services.
To provide Molecular Radiotherapy (MRT) services at the NGH/Central site.
To provide the specialist healthcare professional led cardiac stressing service for myocardial perfusion imaging.
To oversee effective delivery of training within the NGH imaging subsection for trainee and junior technology staff within nuclear medicine.
