The Surgical Day Case Unit (SDCU) is a twenty trolley purpose built unit within the Treatment Centre at KGH. The unit is for elective patients across a variety of surgical specialties including; General, Breast, ENT, Orthopaedic , Urology, Vascular, Colorectal and Pain Management.
You will be required to provide support, specialised knowledge and expertise in the daily care and management of all patients coming through the Unit. Working within this very busy environment will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate you’re clinical, managerial and leadership skills.
You will regularly take charge of the unit. As an effective leader and role model you will work flexibly as a member of the ward team, and in support of the Ward Sister to ensure standards are maintained , evaluated, and where necessary improved.
