Description:

Looking for a change? We could be the place for you.
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 nurse with proven acute hospital experience to work within Gynaecology giving the opportunity to work within the team to lead and change practice.
This is part time 34.5 hours per week secondment/fixed term post until 31st October 2025.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Gynaecology team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered nurse. You will provide specialist knowledge, advice, information and education to patients, carers, health care professionals and relevant others.
Our Gynaecology unit provides 17 inpatient beds and an early Pregnancy Assessment unit caring for a wide range of elective and emergency Gynaecological surgery as well as early pregnancy complications, therefore an experience in Early Pregnancy would be desirable but not essential.
The Ipswich hospital is also a centre of excellence for gynaecological cancers across the East Suffolk and North Essex area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic nurse who is motivated and has a passion for delivering high quality care to join our team.
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to effective team working, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be flexible with a good sense of humour.
Personal development will be explored on an individual basis to meet KSF requirements and needs.
One of the largest Trust’s in East Anglia, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provide hospital and community health services to people living across a wide geographical area. We deliver care from two main hospitals in Colchester and Ipswich, six community hospitals and in patients’ own homes. You will be joining a team of almost 12,000 amazing colleagues providing care to approximately a million people.
Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (if applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offer a variety of services. We offer a range of flexible working opportunities.
Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which do not work or cause time delays for our staff and patients.
To support our employees to achieve their career aspirations you may be eligible to obtain a qualification via an apprenticeship. All successful applicants will be required to undertake a skills review to facilitate this. For full details please see the attached Apprenticeship Handbook.
If you are passionate about patient care and want to develop your skills and knowledge then we are keen to hear from you.
