Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
As part of the wider Revenues and Benefits Service you will have a key role in providing a high-quality administrative service to our Court of Protection deputyship and DWP appointee clients.
YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:
- Supporting the Deputy & Appointee Team (DAT) to provide accurate and prompt advice in accordance with the current Mental Capacity Act 2005, Court of Protection Deputyship & DWP Benefit regulations to enable the Council to fulfil its obligations as Court of Protection Deputy and/or DWP.
- To complete regular bank account reconciliations of Clients income & expenditure & make payments of SU’s bills & fees.
- Monitor and manage Prepaid Cards issued to clients.
- Have an excellent understanding of spreadsheet data base work.
- The primary focus of the deputyship assistant would be to support the deputyship officer in all administrative tasks.
- Dealing with customer enquiries received both in writing and by telephone by providing accurate information in a polite, friendly, and efficient manner to meet the DAT’s commitment to a high level of Customer Care.
