DESIGN ASSURANCE ENGINEER:

Xerotech Ltd are seeking a Design Assurance Engineer to join our fast-growing team and support our R&D department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and improvement of the R&D QMS based on Automotive Quality principles and ensuring strong linkages to NPI and Operations.
  • Ensure Gateway & Milestones reviews are completed and deliverables complied with.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure industry standard requirements, safety requirements, and customer requirements are captured and complied with.
  • Creating company standards and processes and ensuring R&D compliance of quality systems, internal processes, procedures, and applicable standards / regulations
  • Implement and manage the process software systems used within the R&D team and ensure links to corporate systems (Wrike/Jira/DOORS/Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ensure issues are correctly logged by the R&D team and are closed on time.
  • Deliver clear reports to the management team using concise metrics from the process software systems such as “issues throughput” and “severity”
  • Take responsibility for the DFMEA process and meetings to ensure risks are captured and appropriate actions are identified and implemented.
  • Support the PFMEA process and ensure the DFMEA actions are captured and implemented
  • Lead 8D root cause analysis with the team
  • Support, coach and facilitate in the application of these processes in all projects, both internal and customer specific.
  • Evaluate and report on the quality status of all projects, and where necessary, define and assist in tracking corrective actions
  • Capture and analyse test data to identify opportunities for standardisation and improvement
