Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for Landing Gear Design Engineer for an exciting project integrating hydraulic, electric and electronic systems with a software.
Canadian Citizenship is a requirement for this role
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven ability (5 + years) in landing gear system design (main landing gear, tail landing gear, as well as mounted system equipment)
- Knowledge of PLM tools
- 5+ years in CATIA V5 (2D, 3D modelling and model-based definition)
- Knowledge of Smarteam and Teamcenter
- General knowledge of Safran LS practices, standards, tools, documentation and processes
- Proactive individual with strong leadership and effective communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft office Suite
- Be able to balance day-to-day technical, project task tracking and various project needs
Responsibilities:
- Modelling of all assemblies, sub-assemblies and component parts for Main LG and Tail LG structure using CATIA V5
- Creation of 2D drawings and 3D MBDs datasets.
- Definition and routing of electrical and hydraulic system components and associated bracketry
- Creation of layouts showing all joint sections with interfacing sizes and tolerances
- Creation of systems routing, equipment layouts and interface layouts
- Creation of SOCDs for systems equipment mounted on the landing gear and aircraft.
- Supporting documentation creation required for MTA Phase and EMD Phase deliverables
- Trade studies required for design development
- Interaction with internal and external customers inside and outside of engineering function
- Lead design changes while adhering to time, cost, budget, and scheduling
- Provide status updates to clients for progress of tasks, dependencies identified, open actions and summary of outstanding issues
- Support the following:
MRB & customer FAL
Definition of interface control drawings
Tolerance analysis
Product improvements
Customer change requests
Incidents and In-service technical events
Airworthiness issues
