DESCRIPTION
Develop your career as part of our close-knit team working on innovative solutions for current and future brake products. Reporting to our Lead or Chief Engineer you will be designing and developing test work in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer and Project Manager. You will be living and breathing our products as we investigate live issues at our Cwmbran site and engaging with our design teams in Bangalore. Powering your potential.

This role is ideally based onsite working in close collaboration with the full range of teams here at Cwmbran however we will look at Hybrid options.

Responsibilities:
IN THIS DEVELOPMENTAL ROLE, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
- Working simultaneously across a variety of different projects & activities
- Championing innovative and efficient methods of test and validation
- Design activities including CAD, FMEA, calculations & tolerance layouts
- Development test activities including test specification & DVP&R
- Participating in technical design reviews and supporting IPR activities
- Delivering cost effective solutions
- Liaising with internal and external suppliers and customers
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalence
- Enjoy working hands-on with practical engineering challenges, either as a hobby or your work.
- Some project engineering experience, preferably in an automotive environment
- Have a working knowledge of CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer Creo 2
- Have practical experience of test methodology and test procedures
- Understand complex mechanisms and structures
- Understand materials and stress/strain theory & FE Analysis
