Design Engineer
We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join our Anglian Water team based in Lincoln & Norwich.
Location: Lincoln & Norwich
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

As a Design Engineer, you’ll be working within our dynamic team, supporting them in delivering innovative mechanical and civil design solutions that optimize plant performance while adhering to Anglian Water’s engineering standards.
What does your day to day look like in this role?

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Preparing and analyzing key design options for review and agreement with the Project Engineer and the client.
  • Conducting design calculations to facilitate the sizing of mechanical, hydraulic, and building services equipment.
  • Overseeing outputs such as P&IDs and datasheets, working with the Principal Designer to develop new solutions.
  • Conducting engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for water and wastewater projects, analyzing data, and identifying potential improvements.
  • Collaborating with Project Engineers and the Environmental Science Team to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.

This role of Design Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have a minimum of HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering with strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including pumped systems and hydraulics.
  • You are proficient in engineering software and tools, with excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • You possess effective communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in water and wastewater engineering
