Design Engineer Motorsport & Aftermarket

We are ensuring the fit & function of all components and assemblies of turbochargers for motorsport and performance applications by Garrett design standards and The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Qualifications

• University mechanical engineering degree or adequate experience in engineering.

Experience

• Experience in the design of engineering components, both 2D & 3D, dimensioning, geometrical dimensioning & tolerance. Preferably in the automotive industry.

Professional Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced user of 3D CAD for industrial design.
• Knowledge of casting, machining, and assembly processes - nice to have.
• Ability to perform stack-up and build assembly layouts - nice to have.

• The capability to perform basic structural simulation per given templates is good to have.English at the B2 level.

• We are designing 3D models and 2D drawings of turbocharger components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
• Cooperation with cross-functional teams to adapt customer requirements, and lead product plan.
• We built design for safety, reliability, manufacturability, assembly processes & cost.
• Accountability for design work in quality, delivery & productivity aspects, at the project level.
• Participation in internal and external design reviews.
• Owner of specific local and global design initiatives.Prepare documentation for internal and external customers and suppliers.
