Design Engineer – Multiple Opportunities - Submarines

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

You will be responsible for the creation of component/assembly/systems designs and associated through-life justification that meet their requirements and product attributes of life, cost, availability, and safety margins. Additionally, you will:

• Create solutions and justifications that are robust against variation, taking account the full life cycle (concept, design, manufacture, operation, and disposal).
• Integrate cross-discipline engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, simulation, materials, testing, and supply chain.
• Document and verify information against sound mechanical engineering practices and references.
• Present evidence at technical reviews in front of peers and expert panels.
• Publish safety and technical reports which are subjected to customer and regulatory scrutiny.

• Ideally, you will have experience in one of the above disciplines, but this does not need to be limited to Submarines.
• It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial. External Skills/Experience can be from industries such as Civil Nuclear, Marine, Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas
