• Design system-level optical simulation models and perform extensive optical and light behavior analysis. Interpret and report on results including recommendations on optimization
• Define and implement optical systems with internal and external partners
• Work closely with customers and Field Application Engineers to resolve technical challenges
• Define design concepts and select key optical technologies in-line with requirements
• Generate product documentation including optical design specifications and optical design performances reports
• Planning and supervision of laboratory measurements for sensor and material characterization
• Perform engineering product verification to ensure compliance to requirements
• Master’s or PhD in Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering or related field of study
• Experience in optical design of imaging systems. Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
• Experience with optical filters, microoptics (MLA) and consumer electronic systems is beneficial
• Main tools: LightTools & Solidworks (Experience is beneficial; induction and trainings will be offered)
• Knowledge in optical and micro-optics technologies and materials is also an Advantage
• Preferred experience in opto-mechanical design and CAD
• Self-motivated, creative problem solver, to participate in a cross functional development Team
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
