MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Experience in municipal or civil engineering field of minimum two years
- Experience in civil design
- Experience in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
OTHER MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
- Qualification Check

- A current WWCC
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Local Government
- Previous experience in a similar role with 2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, recognised professional standards relating to traffic management and civil engineering.

This role sits within Council’s Engineering Design & Compliance team within the Assets and Engineering Department and is focused on the following tasks:
- Supporting the Coordinator Engineering Design & Compliance
- Undertaking concept and detailed design work for civil infrastructure including roadworks, pathways and drainage
- Providing advice and information on engineering Design matter
