WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?

- Educated to HND/degree level with experience within a consultant engineering role or house building environment.
- Proficient AutoCAD skills are essential, with experience of other design packages, including Windes / Microdrainage, Site3D / Civils 3D design package desirable
- Good working knowledge of NHBC Standards and Building Regulations Approved Documents
- Knowledge of CDM requirements desirable
- Valid CSCS Card will be required
- Full UK driving licence required
Responsibilities:
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
We are looking to recruit a Design Engineer / Technician to join the technical team. This role typically reports to the Technical Director.
The role would suit an experienced Consultant Civil Engineer or Architectural Technician with experience of designing for residential developments. The purpose of the role is to provide engineering design reviews, preparation of preliminary design solutions for site acquisition and support to the architectural team in helping to produce Layouts, Conveyancing and Working Drawings
THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
- Participate in the site evaluation process and provide timely provision for economical and viable solutions to Engineering problems so the project remains within budget and the construction team can maintain the programme
- Assist in technically reviewing projects, from initial site identification, supporting technical reports for viability, reviewing detailed designs and construction variations
- Prepare supporting technical information to aid delivery of the engineering and architectural packages
- Co-ordinate/check and issue information which enables on time site commencement and delivery
- Establish and enforce quality and standards in designs to maintain the good image of the company
- Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and ensure compliance with the same throughout the team to promote safety in the way we build
- Effective daily management of your own workload and external consultants to ensure the provision of required level of services in a pro-active and professional manner to enable the construction and sales departments to fulfil their roles
- Assist co-ordinators with programming information to ensure company targets are met for a controlled and cost-effective delivery of developments from commencement to completion.
