The Role
Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Design Lead / Sustainability Consultant to join their team in the UAE to work on Residential, Commercial and Hospitality projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Sustainability Design Lead on new build and refurbishment projects in the UAE and the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Design Consultancy business. Only candidates holding professional certifications / memberships such as LEED AP ID+C, LEED AP BD+C, LEED O&M, BREEAM, Sustainability, WELL certification will be considered. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client. Key Responsibilities: Organizes own work to achieve set deadlines Independently checks the accuracy of own work prior to review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member Supports development of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details, specifications Adopts good engineering/design solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions Supports the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports Develops an awareness of clients QMS procedures Coordinates with internal design disciplines to achieve a high quality, consistent set of presentation or design documents. Supports on research for emerging tech/trends on sustainability and wellness in the built environment
Requirements
Design Lead / Sustainability Consultant Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related filed - preferable Minimum of 5 years professional experience Professional certifications / memberships such as LEED AP ID+C, LEED AP BD+C, LEED O&M, BREEAM, Sustainability, WELL certification necessary Multi-lingual abilities are an advantage Must have significant experience in the GCC particularly UAE and KSA Consultant / Client-side experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing tasks and projects. Proven track record of managing multiple medium to large scale projects
