We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the coordination of construction projects from inception to completion. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years in design coordination or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in design and project management software.
- Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Pay: £50,000.00-£66,829.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Design Coordination: Act as the central coordinator for all design disciplines, ensuring seamless integration and consistency.
- Brief Preparation: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive design briefs that capture all project requirements.
- Consultant Management: Oversee the appointment of design consultants, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Document Control: Manage document control systems, ensuring proper storage, approval, and submission of all project-related documentation.
- Master Design Program: Maintain a master design program, tracking deliverables to align with project milestones.
- RFI Management: Handle all Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly and accurately.
- Change Control: Manage design-related changes, documenting and tracking all modifications.
- Tender Documentation: Prepare and review tender documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Provide oversight of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and regulatory aspects, resolving potential conflicts.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all design outputs meet required standards and comply with building codes and regulations.
- Compliance Checks: Regularly verify designs for adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Communication: Act as the liaison between design teams, project stakeholders, and clients for effective communication.
- Handover Documentation: Oversee the preparation of O&M manuals and other handover documents for seamless project transitions.
