Design Office Intern
Employment type: Temporary - Fixed Term for 12 months

We are seeking a Design Office Intern to support the delivery of assigned Design Office projects on behalf of Britten-Norman Aerospace Limited Design Office.
Support the overall direction of the Company, with particular emphasis on supporting Design Office functions.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

· Work alongside Design Engineers to assist them in the creation of design package.
· Creation of design scheme and solution to specific project requirements.
· Undertake investigator project for investigations project for improvement to the aircraft.
· Understand the company’s ethos, the purpose of the business and maintain company confidentiality at all times.
· Have regard and where necessary comply with the Company’s systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations which could have an impact on your working area.
· Communicate effectively with all members of your team and the business alike, identify early potential risks, seek clarification of you are unsure and provide feedback on all aspects of the business to your line manager.
· Undertake and successfully pass appropriate training applicable to your role as communicated to you from time to time and proactively identify training opportunities for your own advancement and self-improvement.
· Proactively comply with and advocate company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· 5 GCSEs Grade C/4+ incl Maths / English.
· Studying for a Degree in a relevant filed of study (i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Desing Engineering etc).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

· Prior Engineering experience or research experience would be desirable.
