YOUR ROLE
ALDO Group‘s wholesale (APS) division is an industry-recognized wholesale distributor and third-party sourcing provider of fashion footwear, handbags and accessories. ALDO Product Services (APS) has branded wholesale, private label and brand management partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the world.
The bag Product Developer will get the chance to be part of a growing team and work on some exciting product for brands like Hunter. We are looking for a talented Product Developer who possesses the technical and creative skills to execute product design.
The Handbag Product Developer will play a key role in developing and delivering seasonal collections. They will collaborate with the sales team to handover handbag collections as well as be an important liaison to suppliers throughout the development process, from initial conception through to costing and approval for production. The PD role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by their passion for fashion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, identify and interpret key trends
- Develop styling that is brand right and appropriate for the season
- Translate ideas into sketches
- Create product specifications (Tech Packs), create cost sheets, sample requests and communicate sample requests
- Enter product information in PLM
- Follow product development calendar and achieve deadlines
- Ensure collection developed responds to market needs and achieve GM and MSRP targets
- Review Sales samples and Confirmation samples, communicate all comments and corrections to sourcing team
- Daily communication with suppliers to ensure smooth and clear product development and data collection
- Build and develop strong relationships with Sourcing, Sales and Marketing teams
