Description:
Al Haktur IT Solutions in Dubai is looking for a skilled Desktop Engineer to support our IT infrastructure and ensure smooth operations across all user environments. This role will play a critical part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading our desktop and workstation systems, supporting our team in delivering reliable and efficient IT solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer or in a similar technical support role, preferably within an IT solutions or service provider environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and various desktop applications. Knowledge of Active Directory, network fundamentals, and remote support tools.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with non-technical users and provide clear instructions.
Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide end-user support by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for desktop and laptop systems.
System Maintenance: Regularly monitor, update, and maintain desktop systems, ensuring they are running at peak efficiency and are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy new computer systems, peripherals, and software applications as required by the team.
User Training and Assistance: Assist users with technical issues and educate them on best practices for using company systems and tools effectively.
System Upgrades: Manage and execute desktop system upgrades and replacements, including data migration and system testing to ensure a seamless transition.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and technical resolutions for reference and compliance purposes.
Network Connectivity: Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity issues, ensuring users remain connected and productive.
Security Compliance: Enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect desktop systems from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
Asset Management: Track and document desktop inventory, ensuring accurate asset records and assisting in procurement planning.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve the overall IT environment.
