Description:
We currently have a vacancy for a Desktop Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Vienna, Austria. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree and relevant IT experience of at least 10 years;
- Experience as IT Helpdesk ,Service Desk ,Technical Customer Service roles;
- Knowledge of information security,Oracle ERP products and ITIL;
- Experience with Adobe creative suite,Service Now ticketing tool, Avaya IP Phones,Citrix Gateway VPN, Citrix Virtual Desktop;
- Experience with MAC OSX devices and OS, MDM Airwatch and InTune,MS Active Directory 2016 /2019,MS Exchange,MS Intune and Endpoint manager;
- Experience with MS Sharepoint, O365, SCCM;
- Experience with MS Windows 11 and 10 OS,MS Windows defender ATP and MS Windows Server 2019;
- Experience with Network / Local Printers such as HP, Xerox;
- Experience with canon,PKI / Entrust Certificates,RSA console, hard / soft tokens,SamWin Contact Center;
- Excellent command of the English and German language.

Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact for responding, resolving, and tracking all incidents and service calls;
- Manage calls (incidents and service requests) received by logging it to the online system, prioritize and monitor until completion;
- Respond and solve incidents/service requests including troubleshooting, installation, and removal of hardware/software using supplied installation instructions and tools, following agreed testing and implementation standards;
- Deploy new or upgraded desktops, laptops or core application images;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of ERP user support and training modules and manuals;
- Deploy, test and support standard desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices and all other peripherals including supply of consumables;
- Develop and/or enhance installation and configuration procedures as well as documentation;
- Assist with resolving problems (e.g. poor performance) and faults (e.g. system failure) occurring in the operation of hardware and software - especially those requiring greater installation expertise;
- Conduct tests of hardware and/or software using test procedures and diagnostic tools; correct malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources as required, documenting results in accordance with agreed procedures;
- Troubleshoot issues related to LAN network and wireless network;
- Maintain Active Directory users, groups and computer objects and support external users;
- 24/7 standby support (approx. 5 shifts a year);
