Description:

Would you enjoy putting your troubleshooting hat on – working in East Sussex, fixing IT kit for our frontline NHS heroes? Are you good with problem solving, helping others, and managing your time? Maybe you don’t have a huge amount of experience in IT, but you are a keen enthusiast, and want a job where you can use your skills to help those that help others? We are a multi-award winning team of desktop engineers responsible for IT support of all GP surgeries and the Integrated Care Board in Sussex, and we want to hear from you.

Due to the nature of the role and the geographic locations of supported sites, a Full UK Driving Licence is required in order to fulfil the role

  • Responsible for supporting the provision of a high quality, efficient and customer focused deskside IT support service to a broad range of customer groups
  • Hardware and software support experience, use of remote tools and good general all round Windows knowledge.
  • To be responsible for the co-ordination and installation of new desktop and peripheral equipment,
  • Co-ordinate and perform the installation of hardware and software in a timely, effective manner
  • Maintaining and updating hardware asset records and documentation
  • Following and promoting ITIL working practices
  • Able to work as part of team and autonomously
  • The post holder may be required to lift and transport heavy and bulky equipment daily

You will be required to work autonomously and as part of the regional Desktop team. Proper process and escalation should always be followed to enable our customers to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients and populations.
