Desktop Support Analyst

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the education industry, specifically within a university setting. The position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure within the university, including the panel control systems, projectors, and other digital classroom technologies.

• Handle the operation and maintenance of room control panels, switches, and DSPs
• Manage and troubleshoot touch panel systems for computer logins
• Maintain and support the use of projectors within the university
• Provide technical support for Zoom meetings and classes
• Differentiate support and requirements for conference rooms versus instructional classrooms
• Regularly communicate with the program office and other relevant stakeholders
• Utilize software skills including Dell Technologies and Microsoft in daily tasks
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of all classroom and conference room technologies.
• Possess expertise in DSP (Digital Signal Processing)
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies and its range of products
• Proficiency in using Projectors for presentations and seminars
• Experience with Zoom for conducting and managing online meetings and webinars
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop computers
• Proven experience in a similar role within the education or university sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• A relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Willingness to keep up to date with the latest technologies and updates in the field of desktop support
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
• High level of professionalism and commitment to maintain confidentiality.
