Description:

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the education sector, specifically within a university setting, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing technical support on various software and hardware systems used within the institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain control panels used for room management systems such as switches and DSPs.
  • Provide support for computer log-in systems, ensuring seamless access for users.
  • Manage and troubleshoot issues related to projectors and other presentation equipment.
  • Utilize Zoom and other digital platforms to facilitate remote learning and conferencing.
  • Differentiate support provided for instructional classrooms and separate conference rooms.
  • Regularly liaise with program offices and other stakeholders, ensuring their technology needs are met.
  • Offer technical support for Dell Technologies and Microsoft products used within the institution.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain other technology systems as required.
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or similar role
  • Familiarity with DSP and Dell Technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom
  • Knowledge of various projectors and their operation
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA A+) is a plus.
