Description:

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading MSP who are currently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Strong experience in Windows 10 desktop management and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Intune/AutoPilot for device deployment and configuration.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including group policies and permissions.
  • Basic understanding of virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Nutanix.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and basic physical/logical network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance to end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and configure Windows 10 desktops, including application deployment and user profile management.
  • Assist with device setups and deployments using Intune/AutoPilot for streamlined provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Active Directory, group policies, and user access management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
  • Support virtualisation environments (VMware/Nutanix) by addressing end-user related challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure and Projects teams on deployment and upgrade activities.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, contributing to a robust and secure environment (CyberEssentials, CI Security).
