DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER, NETHERLANDS (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)

As the Desktop Support Engineer, you will represent ESP in the provision of 1st line support and join our dedicated onsite teams, collaborating closely with our customers. You will provide on-site IT support resolving desktop problems and maintaining hardware in line with defined operating procedures and within agreed contractual service levels within a corporate environment on a permanent basis.
We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Two plus (2+) years’ experience providing IT Infrastructure field support which includes troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system issues and problems and fixing the issues without impacting / violating the hardware warranty or customer security compliance requirements.
  • Proficient level of Dutch and English language. Languages are evaluated during the selection process.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft Desktop Software and Operating Systems
  • An understanding of network protocols, server hardware and configurations or other IT qualifications
  • Ability to lift / move computer equipment weighing up to 50Lbs.
  • Knowledge of Linux and MAC can also be desirable for some of our customers.
  • Olst as the primary support and other two sites to support where in business need.
  • Open to work in fixed term contract
  • Full driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer incidents and service requests and manage through to a successful resolution.
  • Deliver desk-side support services to the customer.
  • Deliver hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops across the site.
  • Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices.
  • Support, manage and maintain the configuration and installation of desktops, including patch updates and hardware replacements.
  • Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all Desktop Devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
