Position Title: Desktop Support Technician
Department: IT – Infrastructure Services
Reports to: Manager of IT
Classification: Hourly
JOB OVERVIEW:
Fragrance.com is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide computer, network, and other technology support to on-site and remote company employees. Daily tasks include installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting issues of supported software and technology as well as determining the root cause of any malfunctions or performance issues through evaluation, testing and repair. This position requires advanced knowledge and experience in the Desktop Support field along with the ability to independently research and resolve issues. The position reports to the IT Infrastructure Services manager with some direction and guidance provided by the system admin team and is not a hybrid / remote position.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS (PROFICIENCY REQUIRED)
- Installing, upgrading, and repairing PC desktops, laptops, and printers. (Mac / OS X a plus)
- Supporting, upgrading and troubleshooting Windows 10.
- Active Directory: Experience administering Active Directory user accounts and groups.
- Microsoft 365: User Adds/Changes, Email, Sharepoint, and Office Applications.
- iOS and Android mobile devices. (Zebra Android Handheld Scanners a plus)
- Supporting and Troubleshooting basic network connectivity, WiFi, and VPN issues.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for onsite and remote users for all desktop hardware and software.
- Configure, install, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot supported hardware and software including PCs, printers, handheld Android scanners, and phones.
- Perform user moves between desks including desktops, monitors, printers, and other equipment as needed. (Must be able to lift 50 lbs and crawl under desks and tables)
- On-board and off-board employees including the provisioning and deprovisioning of users in Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (formally Office 365), VOIP telephones and other accounts and services.
- Assist with other technology related projects, deployments, and issues as directed.
- Take part in after-hours on-call and weekend rotation.
- Be available to work extended hours during the retail holiday season and other periods of high volume.
- Perform occasional travel, when necessary, between local retail store sites.
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to take ownership of and independently research and resolve issues.
