SUMMARY:

The Desktop Support Technician is part of a team of IT professionals who provide support to Powin’s global employees with hardware, software, cloud systems, and networks. This position works with a variety of equipment and systems including end-user laptops, desktops, network connectivity, SaaS products, and software on Windows, macOS, and iOS. In addition, this position works on special projects which may require research into solutions and solving complex problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of IT experience
  • Atlassian, Office 365, and Azure AD experience preferred
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems a plus
  • A+ or AZ-900 certifications a plus
  • macOS and Jamf experience a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues both in person and remotely
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused mindset and a commitment to providing high-quality service
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment
  • Ability to frequently life 25lbs and up to 50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in office in Portland, OR 2-3 days a week as needed

Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist personnel with PCs (Windows & Mac), servers, networks, printers, software, and phones via phone, email or in-person
  • Package, test, deploy, update, and troubleshoot software
  • Perform routine network and PC installation in addition to troubleshooting, maintaining, and resolving any related issues
  • Setup or remove users in Powin systems
  • Provide onboarding support to new employees
  • Remove/disable system access for departing employees
  • Act as primary resolver for Tier 1 and 2 issues
  • Work in Azure AD, JAMF, and other management tools
  • Provide in person support for company events

PROCESS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute routine procurement tasks within Powin’s standards
  • Write and maintain documentation
  • Coordinate upgrade of desktop equipment and software
  • Escalate issues to other IT staff as needed
  • Follow Powin IT Security compliance and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as required
