Description:
The average day of a Despatch Operative is to pick and pack Fluke product in line with provided standard work procedures. The operators will work in team of 3 supported by Material Handlers, sharing the workload within a Despatch cell in order to achieve optimum productivity.
In addition, operators will be a vital part of suggesting and implementing improvements to Fluke manufacturing processes through our internal improvement business system (FBS)
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience of using a counter balance fork lift is desirable, training will be provided if not.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures (packing lists, export documents, invoices, manifests etc.) is highly beneficial.
- Keen eye for detail, this role is closely tied to trade compliance requirements so information accuracy is critical
Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To fully pick and pack customer orders as required, keep working environment in a clean and tidy manner and assist in stock taking as and when required.
- Responsible for adherence to defined processes in assigned work area, including but not limited to; Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work.
- As appropriate, to train fellow operatives on defined processes as requested by the Shipping Team Leader.
- Suggest and/or implement process for improvements using the FBS (Fortive Business System) toolset in order to improve operating KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
- As required, partake in the creation, review and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures.
