Description:
The Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) is a blockchain interoperability protocol used by 110+ chains, processing billions of dollars in asset transfer each month. It enables secure, permissionless, feature-rich cross-chain interactions. IBC is one of the most widely adopted and high-volume interoperability protocols in the world.
The Interchain Foundation stewards a vast ecosystem of decentralized technologies, including IBC. We develop and maintain foundational protocols, and fund organizations to create an internet of shared resources, security, and value creation. Through our funding, investments, and ecosystem stewardship, we are shaping a new technological paradigm that is open-source, interoperable, and community-owned.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Developer Advocate for IBC, you’ll be part of our product team, reporting to the IBC product lead. You’ll work within the cross-functional team of 13 who build the IBC implementation in Go. Your main goal is to educate our open-source developer community about IBC and its interaction with the Interchain Stack: CometBFT, Cosmos SDK, Cosmwasm and front end libraries.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Educational Marketing: Create educational content, including documentation, social media content and video guides to help developers understand how to build great products with IBC.
- Advocacy and Evangelism: Representing the needs and interests of the developer community within our team, as well as giving talks or workshops at various events.
- Support: Providing timely and effective support to IBC users and integrators and surface frequent pain points that can feed into product prioritization.
- Contribute: Author updates to documentation, including ensuring existing documentation is clear and comprehensive and outdated material is removed.
