Responsibilities:

  • Act as a 1st point of contact and provide technical support to users having issues with any of the applications that we support and maintain.
  • Ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of modern application development languages like C#, React, Entity framework and use of the Azure capabilities such as Function apps, app services and storage accounts.
  • Candidates will be familiar with Integrated development environments (IDE’s) such as Visual studio code and Visual Studio.
  • Candidates will understand source control, the Git client and will understand how to work in an organisation that uses the GitFlow model of source control.
  • Have an understanding of Azure Dev Ops as a software project management tool. Be familiar taking work through dev ops and how dev ops ties into source control.
  • Work within one of our change labs in a developer capacity, understanding change and producing high quality work based on the stories that have been assigned.
  • Work with the other CDi functions (Security, Infrastructure, Service Delivery and Governance) to ensure that vulnerabilities in the IT Applications portfolio are identified, risk assessed and that the appropriate action is agreed to manage the risk.
  • Checking and accurately processing all desk work associated with the role; including monitoring of the Web services and responding to users enquiries related to our applications accordingly.
  • Keep up to date with modern development trends and practises and identify where they could be beneficial in our suite of applications and the changes we are making to them.
  • Creation and Integration of Power platform applications not only as stand along but an understanding of how they can be integrated into existing applications.
