Description:
Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Developer for Section 508 Remediation in compliance with the Revised 508 Standards and 255 Guidelines (www.access- board.gov). The successful candidate will have familiarity with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Web Content Access Guide (WCAG) 2.0 A and AA.
Sierra7 is a US Small Business Administration (SBA) and Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE)-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOSB) who provides Federal clients system and technology integration, program management, business process optimization, and enterprise solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline [required]
- 5 years of experience
- Experience working in VA [desired]
- Ability to obtain a Government clearance [required]
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate code of existing EAS applications to identify impacted applications during the Section 508 Remediation
- Analyze areas for process improvement and identify technical solutions
- Develop, deliver, and maintain Product Production Source Code.
- Triage defects, identify and implement resolutions
- Utilize best practices to check code in and out of source control each day
- Support the development and delivery of the version description document (VDD)
- Participate in requirements elaboration meetings along with ad hoc meetings
- Work collaboratively across the team and with the customer.
- Support all project reporting requirements
- Demonstrated success as a developer with aptitude for problem resolution
- Familiarity with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Familiarity with US Web Design patterns
- DevSecOps ; CI/CD
- Agile development experience
- Familiarity with coding languages- Node.js, .NET, Visual Basic, JavaScript Libraries, SQL, C#, etc.
- Experience within cloud systems (AWS/ Azure)
- Familiarity with the Digital Services Playbook
- Comfortability working with a team to formulate solutions to complex problems
