Description:

Sierra7, Inc. is seeking a Developer for Section 508 Remediation in compliance with the Revised 508 Standards and 255 Guidelines (www.access- board.gov). The successful candidate will have familiarity with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Web Content Access Guide (WCAG) 2.0 A and AA.
Sierra7 is a US Small Business Administration (SBA) and Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE)-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOSB) who provides Federal clients system and technology integration, program management, business process optimization, and enterprise solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline [required]
  • 5 years of experience
  • Experience working in VA [desired]
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance [required]

Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate code of existing EAS applications to identify impacted applications during the Section 508 Remediation
  • Analyze areas for process improvement and identify technical solutions
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain Product Production Source Code.
  • Triage defects, identify and implement resolutions
  • Utilize best practices to check code in and out of source control each day
  • Support the development and delivery of the version description document (VDD)
  • Participate in requirements elaboration meetings along with ad hoc meetings
  • Work collaboratively across the team and with the customer.
  • Support all project reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated success as a developer with aptitude for problem resolution
  • Familiarity with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Familiarity with US Web Design patterns
  • DevSecOps ; CI/CD
  • Agile development experience
  • Familiarity with coding languages- Node.js, .NET, Visual Basic, JavaScript Libraries, SQL, C#, etc.
  • Experience within cloud systems (AWS/ Azure)
  • Familiarity with the Digital Services Playbook
  • Comfortability working with a team to formulate solutions to complex problems
